The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the "Malineni Lakshmaiah Engineering College" was formed in the year 1999 and provides an outstanding research environment complemented by excellence in teaching.

the department offers a four year graduate program In Mechanical Engineering with an annual intake of 60 Students meeting the global demands of engineers. The faculty in the department closely interacts with the industry and brings their experience to enable the graduates meet the global challenges.

The department has state-of-the-art labs and equipment to facilitate students to acquire application skills. The department provides facilities for students to learn soft skills and achieve holistic personality. Student chapters of ISTE and institution of engineers (India) further hone Student's skills.

Hands of experience on the latest systems and configurations is offered to the students through the establishment of a 360 systems computer lab. The lab also provides various hardware and software platforms to enable the students develop their skills for interfacing and accepting challenging taks of real world. Further we offer certificate courses in areas of Computers, Information Technology, Software Skills and Communication Skills through our Authorized Learning Center PGRR Center for Distance Education, Osmania University. We are providing Internet facility to each and every student. We have well established/furnished/equipped E-Classrooms.
